Samsung buying guide for India

Samsung is a South Korean electronics company and one of the biggest brands in India. It sells phones, TVs, fridges, washing machines, ACs and monitors, from budget to premium. It has been in India since 1995 and makes products here, in Noida (Uttar Pradesh) and Sriperumbudur (near Chennai). Its phones get some of the longest software updates on Android, and its TVs sell more than any other brand in India.

Samsung covers every budget. Galaxy M, F and A phones are for budget and mid-range buyers; Galaxy S and the foldable Galaxy Z are premium. TVs go from basic Crystal UHD models to premium Neo QLED and OLED.

Service and support

Samsung runs WhatsApp support on 1800-5-726-7864, online service appointments, and pick-up and drop for phone and tablet repairs. TVs and home appliances are repaired at your home by an authorised engineer. Use the official service centre locator to check the nearest centre before you buy in a small town.

Warranty

Phones: 12 months on the handset and battery, 6 months on the charger and cable. TVs: 12 months, with extra 2-year warranty offers on selected models during some sales. Refrigerators: 12 months, plus 10 years on the digital inverter compressor (parts only) for purchases from 1 April 2026 (it was 20 years before). Top and front load washing machines: 24 months, plus 10 years on the digital inverter motor (parts only) from 1 April 2026 (20 years before).
